Celebrating Nicole's Impact at Miistakis

This summer, we say farewell to one of our long-serving team members as Nicole embarks on a new chapter after eight years with Miistakis.

Nicole played a pivotal role in advancing our work on ecological connectivity and urban biodiversity. She led the management of our remote camera networks that supported projects including Nature's Network, Calgary Connect, and Calgary Captured, helping generate data and insights that have informed conservation planning and policy and expanded our understanding of wildlife movement throughout the Calgary region.

Nicole's contributions extended well beyond the thousands of images and datasets she managed. We thank Nicole for her dedication, hard work and easy-going nature and we celebrate the lasting impact she has had on Miistakis and the many projects she helped shape. You’ll be missed Nicole!
