Executive Director’s Message

Winter greetings,

We are pleased to share the Winter 2013 edition of the Miistakis Miinute e-newsletter with you. And, we have some big news to share. The Miistakis Institute has relocated its office to Mount Royal University. Miistakis spent twelve rewarding and productive years affiliated with the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary. Each of us at Miistakis is grateful for the partnerships and friendships that we enjoyed with many EVDS students, staff and faculty over the years.

In mid-February we spent several dusty days going through our old office- packing up our resources and purging a bit of the old and antiquated. Thankfully we didn’t have to do too much heavy lifting as the movers showed up to haul our office to our new space at Mount Royal University. I am pleased to share our new mailing address/office location with you:

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Mount Royal University (MRU). We very much look forward to working with Mount Royal University students, staff and faculty to design and carry out new research in the field of environmental science. If you find yourself on the MRU campus, please come for a visit- just hang a left at the bronze cougar.
