What's New in Private Land Conservation?

Discover how Alberta's land trusts are making an impact - updated data and new metrics show the growing value of private land conservation.

Since our last update, we've been busy teaming up with Alberta's land trust (LT) community to explore the growing impact of private land conservation (PLC) in Alberta. Over the last two years we've highlighted two case studies that bring the story of PLC to life - beyond the numbers - and created three one-pagers to help folks quickly see why this type of conservation matters. New metrics include grasslands, ecological connectivity, scenic views and working landscapes. Plus, we took a look at how PLC has changed over time in key areas like grasslands, scenic views and wetlands.
